Tournament recap – WHEN IT HAS TO BE RIGHT,

Senior 55 Womens 3_5 1st and 2nd Place WinnersIT HAS TO BE A TENNIS WEEKEND AT HUNTSVILLE TENNIS CENTER.
The Huntsville Women’s Tennis Association (HWTA) held its 12th Annual Roselyn Donnelly Memorial Tennis Tournament, on November 1-3, 2013 at the Huntsville Tennis Center.  This tennis tournament event is the Fall Charity Tournament, where all proceeds this year went to the future tennis expansion project.

This year was an event to remember, where a record count of 146 players participated in the tennis tournament!  This event was successful due to the passion of the tennis community. Thank you to the committee, event participants, local businesses and those individual players that made additional cash donations.  Your time, talents and donations to help build more tennis courts is truly appreciated.

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the Raffle drive; we could not have done it without the tennis player’s generosity in buying raffle tickets, and all the outstanding gift donations from the HWTA ladies, local business gift certificates, and pro lessons.
I hope everyone enjoyed the wonderful autumn weather, the exciting tennis matches, the marvelous assortment of food and snacks, and the pure enjoyment of a weekend of tennis with friends.
Pleases don’t forget to visit the businesses that made donations to the Raffle; their support is helping to pave the way for future court expansion.
